Fire Wire
Firewire
cable / IEEE 1394 cable is High Performance Serial Bus cable. It is a
versatile, high-speed, and low cost method of transferring digital data
between personal computer peripherals and consumer electronics devices.
IEEE 1394 firewire cable can transport data at 100/200/400 Mbps.
FireWire was invented by Apple Computer but is now commonly used with
Windows-based PCs as well. Some people consider FireWire a successor
technology to the obsolescent SCSI Parallel Interface.
www.avdemand.com carries a full range of firewire extension cables (4 Pin to 4 Pin, 4Pin
to 6 Pin, 6 Pin to 6 Pin). Firewire cables support true plug and play
functionality. They are easy to use (no terminators required). These
cables can be daisy chained together using firewire hubs. Firewire
Cables supports 100Mbps Data Rate for electronic devices (Video / Game
devices, Conventional PC Peripherals, Digital Audio Type (DAT)
recorders, etc), 200Mbps Data Rate for electronic components (High-end
keyboard synthesizers, Digital camcorders, VCRs, etc), 400Mbps Data Rate
for the Professional and Industrial markets.
